Report:
Unfortunately Daventry
Warriors suffered their first defeat of the season, despite playing well with
commitment.
The players adapted well to
the "strange" refereeing decisions, where by there were no off side rules that
came into play and players were allowed to pick the ball up whilst not on their
feet. Despite the lack of rulkes, the players kept going and were unlucky to
lose out.
The Vikings gave the best
performance seen so far, they have now really come together as a team. The
moving of Joe to fly-half seemed to give them the edge and they were very
unlucky not to force the win.
For the third game we gave
each team on half each and again played very well and secured a second draw.
Some fantastic tackling,
support play and running with the ball was displayed by the Vikings team and this meant
that again we had two candidates for player of the day: Joe and Dion.
We decided to give both award
to the Vikings team for some of the best try saving tackles seen by either teams
to date form both Joe and Dion, well done boys.
A great contribution by
Archie also deserves a mention.
Keep it up lads great work. |
