Match
Report:
Today we have BBOB at
Daventry and unfortunately they only had one team, which was a mix of under 10's
and 9's.
Due to this we only had one
match against them and player all of the team for 1/2 of the match only.
After the first half Daventry
were 3 tries to nil up but when we swapped the entire team, Daventry did not
score again and let in BBOB to score 3 tries of their own, hence the resulting
draw.
We did however, take the
opportunity of playing Daventry against Daventry too, to make sure we still had
some good match practice.
We split the teams up as
follows:
Team 1
- Ryan B, Richard, Archie, Jack, Toby, Charlie, Hugo, Ryan S, Piers, Jonathon
Team 2 -
Sam B, Jacob, Stafford, Harry, Joe, Deon, Jamie, Luke, Ellis
Team A won by 6 tries to 1.
Scorers Toby 2, Deon, Charlie, Hugo, Piers, Ryan S
We then played a second game,
but moved Toby and Charlie to team 1 and Joe to team 2
Team 2 then won by 4 tries to
2. Scorers Toby, Hugo, Deon 2, Richard, Joe
Some fantastic tackling, support play, rucking
and driving was displayed and this meant
that again we had a few candidates for player of the day.
Richard, who narrowly missed
out last week, got one of the men of the match awards, for some great tackling
and running and a great try.
Piers, showed good all round
skill and today played in 3 roles, Scrum Half, wing and hooker.
