Volunteers

Daventry Rugby Football Club is run entirely by unpaid volunteers mainly they are parents and happily take on the work required. However at times it feels as if they are being asked to take on more and more as the rules and regulations become more and more demanding to ensure the children's welfare.

Coaches

The way in which the club wants to share the load of running the teams is to encourage more parents to become involved in the running of the teams. We want an RFU trained Lead Coach and two Assistant Coaches training each team.

Follow the RFU link to see how the coaching structure works or the East Midlands link to find course dates. NSport or Northamptonshire Sports, to give them their full name, also list other generic and specific coach education and training courses. This ensures there is built in redundancy within each team and we attain as a minimum a 1:10 coach to player ratio, as required by the Active Sports 'Seal of Approval'. If you are interested in becoming a coach and can spare two hours on a Sunday morning then down load a job description and come and talk to the Club Welfare Officer or the Head Coach.

Welfare Coordinators

We also want to have a Welfare Coordinator for every team. This will be a person who can attend regularly on a Sunday morning and will help the Coaches by taking the attendance register, writing short match reports and ensuring the coaches are aware of any medical conditions that the players have, which are listed on the attendance registers. The Welfare Coordinators will report to the Club Welfare Officer and will receive training about the Clubs Welfare Policies and will be able to undertake Sports UK Child Protection and Welfare Courses in the fullness of time. If you are interested, down load the job description or contact the Club Welfare Officer. Job Description

Kitchen Staff

Kath and Tracey run the club kitchen every Sunday morning, providing tea, coffee and bacon rolls. Their unstinting loyalty results in them only being able to see their own children when the club plays away from home. It would be wonderful if they had additional help to enable them to see their children train on a non match day. If you could spare an hour on the odd Sunday morning, every body would appreciate your help. Job Description
